Have you ever had that crick in your neck and wished you could get a massage at the snap of your fingers? Well, now you can with just a few taps on Massago, Canada’s first RMT app to offer on-demand massage therapy. There’s an app for everything these days so it makes sense to put mobile massage therapists onto a similar platform. Mobile massage is all about bringing convenience and relaxation to your home and now the Massago app makes it even easier for Calgarians to do.

How Massago works

Massago got its start in Ontario and is now making its way out west to Calgary. Over 100 RMTs throughout Alberta are available through the app. The system allows you to book someone in as little as a few hours or up to 30 days in advance. Sooooo helpful for those days when your body needs some immediate TLC without having to go to the spa or clinic.

Users can book the location, length of massage, and preferred time for the appointment all on the app. Therapists can be available from 8 am to 10pm, 7 days a week. Massage options include deep tissue, Swedish, prenatal and sport. You can even book a couples massage at home! How nice would that be?

Easy and convenient mobile massage therapy

If you’re concerned about having a stranger in your home, know that all the massage therapists undergo a vigorous vetting process. This  includes a police background check and confirmation of professional credentials, in-person interviews and a practical exam.

The entire platform is cash-free as you set up a credit card ahead of time. Receipts are also provided so you can submit to your work benefits as usual. If you find a therapist you like, you can request them again through the app for future appointments too. Note that the app automatically does a 15% gratuity on massages and you will need to provide your own sheets and towels.
