Hi guys! My name is Irene Seto and I am the writer behind Mint & Heritage. I’m a born-and-raised Calgarian so that makes me a bit of a unicorn right?! I’m also left-handed, a Taurus sign and an Ox on the Chinese Zodiac so I feel like my bull-headedness is beyond EXTRA, and a lover of all the cute bunnies that populate Calgary city parks. #LetsLeadLadies

You can find happy hour from 3-5pm and again from 9pm - close everyday 🍺 @shoe_and_canoe has a great local craft beer menu and these skillet nachos are the perfect personal size. POLAR BEARS IN YYC 🐻‍❄️The former Canadia POLAR BEARS IN YYC 🐻‍❄️The former Canadian Wilds at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo has been fully revamped and is now the beautiful new ‘Wild Canada’ 🇨🇦 The big attraction is the addition of two male polar bears, Siku and Baffin. It has been years once the zoo has had polar bears and I’m all for it. Their home is a two-acre habitat with varied topography and water features that the bears can engage with. These bears were orphaned in the wild very young and are part of a historic agreement with the Province of Manitoba that sees polar bears leaving the province for the first time. I know lots of people wait until December 1 to start decorating but I like to start super early! I pay so much for my Xmas decorations that I hate to have them sitting in storage for so much of the year. I like to get a solid 10 weeks of holiday magic going every season. FLYING FIRST CLASS UP IN THE SKY ✈️ Ok, we do FLYING FIRST CLASS UP IN THE SKY ✈️ Ok, we don’t do this very often so it was definitely a splurge 🤑This was only the second time we upgraded up to premium seats and it was oh. so. nice 😊 Having only two comfortable seats side-by-side and avoiding the dreaded middle seat is such a win when flying. Plus the free drinks don’t hurt either 🥂. If you ever get the chance to upgrade to a premium or first class seat, do it! I find it’s really helpful when: 🔹You’re doing a flight longer than 4 hours - more legroom to be comfortable in. 🔹Free meal, snacks and booze! Nice to not have to remember to buy your own food to bring on the plane. 🔹Priority check-in and security - if you’re at a very big and busy airport, getting priority status can really cut down on your wait times as the lines will be much shorter for you. #flyingfirstclass #premiumeconomy #travellife✈️ #firstclassflight #middleseat #yycblogger #mimosatime #luxurytravels #airplanephotos #airplanetravel #traveltipsandtricks #traveltip #travelhacks #travelhappy #its5oclocksomewhere
