My boyfriend and I have taken to watching food documentaries of late – which has made me lose my taste for food in some ways but has spurred my appetite to learn more about the industries that get our meals from farm to fork. There are plenty of docs that look at the nutritional aspects of food which are quite interesting and unsettling. One of the things I love about Notable is that the menu is always offering up new eats that I haven’t tried there. This is their aromatic-rubbed natural “quarter” chicken that’s all parts delicious and yummy. The housemade apple vinaigrette gave an extra kick to the side salad.

That’s what local writer Gwendolyn Richards did with her new cookbook Pucker. This delicious and juicy cookbook is an ode to the citrus fruits that give us that tang and make our tastebuds pucker.
