I’ve been a fan of local folk faves Woodpigeon for a while now, but had never seen this music video before. The charming and whimsical animations are a perfect match with this gentle love song. Plus the title of the song rocks. Sadly, the Calgary Tower does not make an appearance.
This song doesn’t match the phenom of “Call Me Maybe” but should definitely keep Ms. Jepsen out of the one-hit wonder club. Plus I really really really really like Tom Hanks! I’m rooting for you Carly Rae.

Coming up with date night ideas can be tricky at times, but a tried-and-true Calgary option is going to the hockey game. It’s fun for both boys and girls plus there’s beer involved. That’s make it a win already (and a bonus if the home team can do the same on ice). I recently took in a Calgary Flames game with my boyfriend J. While it’s unfortunate that we don’t root for the same team (He’s a Leafs fan. I know, I know.) it has become a tradition for us to attend the annual Toronto-Calgary contest and cheer on our View this Post

Being a clothes hound comes with a lot of tiny accessories – all those little extra buttons that come with every blouse, sweater and jacket. I have saved all of these round enclosures for years now – and no idea of what to do with them. Let the Pinterest brainstorming begin! If you see any fun button ideas, let me know @heyseto or comment below.

What says love better than gelato goodness? Fiasco Gelato has just released their Valentine’s collection in four delicious flavours:
- Chocolate dipped strawberry
- Raspberry dark chocolate
- Red velvet cream cheese
- Angel food cake
And if you can’t pick just one flavour, Fiasco has a handy gift pack with all four jars ready to go. Really, this is the only way to go. #weallscreamforgelato

One of the things I love about Notable is that the menu is always offering up new eats that I haven’t tried there. This is their aromatic-rubbed natural “quarter” chicken that’s all parts delicious and yummy. The housemade apple vinaigrette gave an extra kick to the side salad.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, lemon loaf cake, lemon buttercream, lemon-lavender shortbread, and lemon-rosemary lamb chops, just to name a few. That’s what local writer Gwendolyn Richards did with her new cookbook Pucker. This delicious and juicy cookbook is an ode to the citrus fruits that give us that tang and make our tastebuds pucker.
If you thought that lemons and limes were only good for putting in your water glass, then you have been missing out. The recipes in the View this Post

It’s time to get Schmancy! The annual fundraiser for the Glenbow Museum is taking place this weekend with host Jessi Cruickshank. The former MTV host sat down with The Glenbow to do a Skype chat and had some hilarious things to say about John Travolta, her childhood, and her love of the arts.
The best part is Jessi’s story about how her parents got her to go to museums and art galleries as a child. Apparently the lure of a McDonald’s Happy Meal was enough to get the young Jessi to visit a cultural View this Post
