The coffee shop is the community hub that is always on-the-go, filled with laptop workers, moms and strollers, friends catching up, and meetings outside of the office. With a revolving door of patrons coming and going, the coffee shop keeps its buzz going long after the caffeine has been served. Local café Phil & Sebastian Coffee Roasters offers just this social nucleus with their many locations all over the city. While visiting the coffee shop is often seen as a daytime View this Post

Calgary is home to a vibrant community of independent businesses. Many of the faces behind the local favourites and neighborhood hangouts tend to stay behind-the-scenes, but a new Calgary-oriented calendar is looking to bring these peeps front-and-center. The annual Stampede Roundup and Oxford Stomp fundraisers put together some amazing outdoor concert experiences, with some western flair. Combined, the two events raised $400,000 for the Rotary Club of Calgary. What’s cool is that the funds raised will go towards enhancing the urban park experience in the city with the Rotary/Mattamy Greenway Project. The initiative View this Post
