Canada Goose is known as the premier winter brand for their ultra-warm and fashionable parkas and coats. But did you know that they make spring jackets as well? I sure didn’t until I got my Canada Goose Timber technical shell jacket (in the brilliant pink Torch in case you were wondering). It’s a super stylish coat. The cuffs are tapered and it has a longer back for cover. The zippers and seams are all waterproof with ventilation on the sides for when things get too humid. This Mother’s Day will be my first one without my mom here to share and celebrate it with. I have an immense swirl of emotions around this as I go from highs to lows. I am sad that she is no longer here to enjoy this day with her family. I took to the advance polls earlier this week and was pleasantly surprised at the continuous hustle and hum going on at the election office. There was a steady flow of people coming in and out to place their advance ballots. But what wasn’t surprising was the demographics of the voters – definitely skewing 50+. Ever since I turned 18 and able to vote, I have consistently been the youngest person at the polling station. And it’s not because I look like I’m 12. Coming up with date night ideas can be tricky at times, but a tried-and-true Calgary option is going to the hockey game. It’s fun for both boys and girls plus there’s beer involved. That’s make it a win already (and a bonus if the home team can do the same on ice). I recently took in a Calgary Flames game with my boyfriend J. While it’s unfortunate that we don’t root for the same team (He’s a Leafs fan.
