Flying high in the sky and above the clouds. En route to Las Vegas!

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right? I hit a milestone birthday this year and decided to celebrate with a girls trip down to Sin City. We had a great weekend of shopping, eating, pooltime and a big dose of Britney Spears! There’s always so much to do in Vegas that the fun doesn’t end, day or night.

JOMO: The Joy of Missing Out

JOMO Joy of Missing Out

For a long time, I suffered from an affliction that we have all felt at one time or another: FOMO, the fear of missing out. You know that feeling of always wanting to be in the know, to join in on the fun, to just be invited to the party. It can mean a number of things from being absent at an event, not having the latest iPhone, or missing the latest episode of a TV show. Not being included means that you are missing out on something, right?

Pictures are worth a thousand words and the memories that come with them are priceless. I think that’s why I love taking pictures, sharing them online and preserving special moments of time. Meet the new Calgary Public Library

You’ve probably noticed that the Calgary Public Library has changed! A new look and a new feel to go with the new role of a library. I’m really excited for how the New Central Library will change the landscape downtown and filter to all the other branches around the city.  Calgarians love their library and with free memberships, that means a whole lot more people will get to experience the fun. Check out this cute video from the CPL and if you haven’t already, go pick up your free library card.

The first thing you will notice when you step inside Fresh Laundry is how amazing it smells. From the vibrant green moss on the wall to the soaps and linens on the shelves, this store just smells damn good. And as it should be since this new storefront is all about scents, lotions, soaps and more. Fresh Laundry comes from the brilliant sibling team of Lisa and Ian Davies. The duo (along with a third partner) are already well known for their sister store, The Uncommons, and have played a View this Post

Making a difference with June Dresses

Day 1 of June Dresses

Day 1 of June Dresses

It’s the start of a brand-new month and the beginning of an amazing fundraiser! I’m participating in June Dresses: 30 days, 30 dresses, all to help empower women through dress. The concept has ladies pledge to wear a dress or skirt everyday for the month of June. Being confident in what you wear goes a long to give power to girls and women. And as the movement grows, more ladies will be part of the cause and help to give back to other women in their community.

I’m lucky to have an extensive wardrobe View this Post

This can be difficult to follow at times when you’re extremely frustrated with the haters. But if you don’t give in to their cruelty, you’ll be all the  better for it. Strength comes from taking the high road – even if it’s extremely bumpy along the way.
