The Glenbow Museum gets Schmancy with Jessi Cruikshank

It’s time to get Schmancy! The annual fundraiser for the Glenbow Museum is taking place this weekend with host Jessi Cruickshank. The former MTV host sat down with The Glenbow to do a Skype chat and had some hilarious things to say about John Travolta, her childhood, and her love of the arts.

The best part is Jessi’s story about how her parents got her to go to museums and art galleries as a child. Apparently the lure of a McDonald’s Happy Meal was enough to get the young Jessi to visit a cultural institution – but her parents drove a hard bargain and  required 10 arts visits for every one McDonald’s trip! That’s some tough love, but some sound parenting advice in my books. I think Jessi would also agree.
